In 2023, Marcus Cole started keeping a personal spreadsheet of Panera prices. He was a regular Panera customer who noticed that every menu guide he found online was showing prices from two or three years earlier. When he showed up expecting to pay one amount, the total at the register was always higher.
After a while he started sharing the spreadsheet with friends and family who had the same problem. Eventually he turned it into this website so anyone could use it. The goal was simple: a Panera menu reference that actually reflected what you would pay today, not what the prices were in 2021.
The site has grown since then to cover calorie counts, cafe hours, the allergens Panera names in its own item descriptions, and guides on getting the most out of Panera rewards. It is still independently run with no corporate funding or brand partnerships.
Panera changes its menu and its prices on a rolling basis, and franchise owners set their own prices on top of that. Here is exactly how this site keeps up, and what it will not claim.
Prices and calorie counts are read from a snapshot of the menu at each US bakery-cafe, taken in August 2026, and built into the pages when the site compiles. Nobody retypes a figure into an article, so a page cannot drift away from the data behind it.
Every item costs a different amount at different cafes, so one price on its own would mislead. What is published is the national average, and where the spread changes the answer the guide prints the cheapest and the dearest too.
Delivery fees, third-party app mark-ups, wait times and the caffeine in a withdrawn drink are published by nobody and measured here by nothing. Rather than estimate one, a guide says which number it cannot give you, and why.
The site plans to carry display advertising from Google to cover hosting and research costs, so the guides can stay free to read. When adverts run, Google chooses which ones appear, not us. We have no paid content deals or brand sponsorships with Panera Bread or any restaurant. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Founder of this independent fan site
Marcus started tracking Panera menu prices in 2023 after getting frustrated by how outdated most online menu guides were. He writes and reviews the guides before they are published. The figures inside them are not written by hand at all: they are read from the menu data when the site is built. He has no employment or sponsorship relationship with Panera Bread, Inc.
No. This site has no connection to Panera Bread, Inc., JAB Holding Company, or any franchise operator. We are a fully independent reference site. All Panera trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Every price is read from a snapshot of the menu at each US bakery-cafe, taken in August 2026, and built into the pages rather than typed in by hand. That is why a figure here is given as a national average with a range: franchise owners set their own prices, so the same order genuinely costs different amounts in different places.
It is as current as the snapshot the pages are built from, and each guide shows the date it was last revised. Prices change on a rolling basis and yours will differ by a few cents either way, so treat what you read here as the figure to expect rather than the figure you will be charged. Confirm at the cafe or in the Panera app before you order.
Marcus Cole writes and reviews the guides. The figures inside them are not written at all: they are read from the menu data when the site is built, so a guide cannot quietly disagree with the table inside it. Where a number cannot be sourced, the guide says so rather than estimating one.
It does not, at the moment. The pages carry no advertising and nothing is sold here, so hosting and the time spent reading and checking the menu data come out of pocket. Advertising may be added later, and the privacy and cookie policies already set out what that would involve. There are no paid partnerships and no sponsored content deals with Panera Bread or any restaurant brand, and there never have been.
Use the contact page and include the item name and where you saw it. Corrections are checked against the menu data before anything changes, and a genuine error gets fixed at the next data refresh.
If adverts are shown, Google sets cookies to serve and measure them. Google Analytics, umami and Vercel's traffic counter measure page views in aggregate. We do not ask you to create an account and we sell nothing. The privacy policy names every one of them and sets out how to opt out.
If you spot a price that is wrong, a menu item that has changed, or anything else that needs updating, the contact page is the fastest way to reach us. Every message is read, and a correction that checks out is fixed at the next data refresh.
