Panera Autumn Squash Soup and the Other Seasonal Soups
Panera rotates part of its soup menu, so the two most looked-up soups are not on it today. Neither has been withdrawn. Panera autumn squash soup and Panera baked potato soup are both fall items, and they come back with the autumn menu.
Panera Autumn Squash Soup
Butternut squash and pumpkin with vegetable broth, honey, apple juice and warm spices, finished with cream and pumpkin seeds. Some people search for it as Panera Bread harvest squash soup or Panera fall squash soup; it is the same thing, and it is the single most looked-up Panera soup that is not being served right now.
Panera Baked Potato Soup
Listed as Rustic Baked Potato Soup: potato with bacon, chives and a Monterey Jack sauce, topped with asiago. Also an autumn item, and it arrived alongside the squash soup the last time the seasonal menu changed.
When the autumn soups come back
Panera brought both to cafes nationwide on 24 September in 2025, and has not announced a date for this year. If you are reading this before then, the closest thing on the menu now is the Creamy Tomato for something sweet and thick, or the Mexican Street Corn Chowder for something creamy with a bit of heat.
One soup on this page shows the rotation running the other way: Black Bean came back with that same 2025 autumn menu after years off it, and cafes are serving it now.

Broccoli Cheddar and Homestyle Chicken Noodle are the two that stay on all year. The rest rotate, and an individual cafe will not have every soup on the list at every hour. Autumn Squash and Rustic Baked Potato were not being served anywhere at that point, because both are autumn items.
Which Panera soups are vegetarian, vegan or gluten conscious?
Panera tags Black Bean as vegan, vegetarian and gluten conscious, which makes it the only soup on the menu that meets all three. Creamy Tomato and Mexican Street Corn Chowder are tagged vegetarian, and the chowder is gluten conscious too.
The other four carry none of those tags, Broccoli Cheddar included: Panera's published ingredients for it list chicken stock and wheat flour. Note also that a soup tagged gluten conscious in a cup or bowl is not tagged that way in a bread bowl.
